anyone have any ideas on the new achievement related easter eggs ? special gift and gotcha..you little..

i found a little alien toy thing in the basement on the drawer near the tv. when i looked at it it ran away to the right behind a picture and disappeared. i didnt get an achievement and i cant find it anymore. maybe you have to find it multiple times but i dont know.

Oh really? I'll have to keep an eye out for it. The Special Gift achievement is making me go crazy. I thought maybe in the area with the gas you would have to break a secret wall but I can't find anything else in there.

if it is in a chapter specific location could take a while to find it. i havent found any clue to the special gift achievement. if you find the alien toy try picking it up before it runs away. when i found it i didnt have time to think and it was gone. maybe you have only one chance to catch it.

It was a long shot but the achievement picture is a fire Axe, when you drop down from the basement into the area with gas that's the only time (from what I found) when you can use a fire Axe. I think it's a "The Shining" reference but not sure. I wonder if you can grab the toy and throw him into the portal that appears after you make hot chocolate. Lmao. Now that would be a fun Easter egg. I'll mess around for a few hours later tonight since the only thing I need for all achievements is those 2.

yeah i think you're right about the shining. well i would be happy if i could even find the toy again. searching the whole house for that will be a pain considering how small it was.

I believe you just need to interact with the alien before he hides behind the photo frame. He seems to reset from time to time too (or at least each time you put a bullet in your head).

I will try that when I'm next on, slept for longer than expected but it was needed! Will update if I have any luck catching him. Keep me posted if you find any clues for special gift.

hmm i did the void ending but it never respawned and now i cant shoot myself anymore to reset on my main save file. i started a new game but it didnt spawn while in the lucy chapter. tried shooting myself but still didnt spawn. there has to be a specific trigger for it. how many times did you find it and did you get the achievement ?

update special gift is in the prison tape. quote from someone in the discord

"Yeah it's in the wall of the boy's room when you knock it down. To get to that room you need to bring in the crate from the other wall you knock down. Just look into the closet of the boy's room and that should unlock the achievement."

you have to carry the crate over climb on top of it then go into the boys room pretty much.

also alien has been spotted near the freezer where you encounter Lucy for the first time.

can confirm just got the achievement. would have never found that myself xD you can also interact with the door in the boys room but you cant go through it.

now only the alien is left i guess. if nobody has gotten the achievement yet it must be really well hidden or in a chapter specific location like special gift. maybe the alien encounter in the basement is just a red herring ?

i have tried shooting myself many times now on different save files with different progress but it just doesnt respawn. i also tried lowering my sanity all the way but still nothing. man i wish i had a save file from before i found it.
