where is the mirror key

The mirror key (if you're trying to start chapter 2) should be on a peg next to the door to the living room (first floor, near the front door). If you are already in the middle of ch 1 (that is, you picked up the panda drawing), you can't start chapter 2 until you finish chapter 1.

so you know the kitchen and dining area right? you can first get in via the basement using the stairs that switchback near the the area of the basement that looks very unfinished and under construction. There is a glass door that leads the room with the TV. If you go on the other side of the kitchen/dining room area, you'll find a hallway and the door in that hallway will be the laundry room. Also you can't start another chapter unless you aren't already in one.
