Visage

Great game but controls are whack
First off, I wanna say GREAT JOB devs. I know you guys have a pretty small team and funded this game entirely off kickstarter but GREAT JOB nonetheless. I have been craving some P.T. gameplay ever since the P.T. demo came out. I bought a PS4 but Konami took it off the store by then and there was nothing even closely related to it. A bunch of mods that ported it to the PC but they are unplayable even in 2018.

Allison Road looked amazing but they ceased production. Then I saw a few videos of Visage on YouTube and I became obsessed. It's a very simple approach to psychological horror.

I found out that Visage came out last month and immediately bought it. Game / graphics were very well done but what the hell is up with the controls? They are so frustating to say the least - grabbing something, hold it, having two different menus, attempting to place the grabbed object in your menu, attempting to get it back out, duel wielding candles - ahh this is too much. I like how the menus work in RE7. Very simple and to the point. If I had to make one change to the game (apart from making it longer), it would definitely be to rework the menus and how you interact with objects in the world.

But anyways, good job nonetheless. I hope you keep working on it.

Here we go again...
The game is in Early Access, which means that it is not finished yet and everything you mention is already underway.

I'm not sure. I hope you're right. But I get the feeling they're more concerned about bugs and performance issues.
It seems like every time they mess with the User-interface it gets worse, so we might not be able to expect a perfected inverntory and object interaction

That being said, I think these things are a much smaller issue than they seem to be to other people. My main thing is still just bugs, difficulty and replayability.

I can't see why they couldn't fix it from the start. Several games have already perfected it.

Left click to pick up into your inventory
Right click to hold and rorate with mouse + WASD
Once in your inventory, click on it and have either use, examine, or drop

It's that simple. Period. It's been perfected for many years.

Because they are only two developers working on this and have a lot to look for (bugs, content, etc).
As this is Early Access, they can test different schemes of controls and listen the opinion of the users.

When the complete game releases, don't worry, I'm sure the controls will be updated and possibly customized.
