Help with key?

I picked up the key in the living-room with the television in it first part, I know there are two doors, basement and garage, but the key does not fit in any of the locks. Are there more locked doors in the first part of the story or am I having some issue?

That key is the basement key. If it's not working in the door by the radio your game might be bugged.
Worth noting, in order to unlock the door you have to actually open up your key inventory and click on the key.

Thanks for the reply, kinda thought something was wrong. I open inventory and do it properly so. Also, it means I'm stuck quite early considering the length of the early access game?
Guess ill try reinstall and stuff

This shouldn't require a reinstall, just a new game.
If if still isn't working after a new game then there might be something wrong with how you're trying to open the door.

This is extremely early on, but several people have reported similar bugs where the key inventory becomes unresponsive.
