You can also increase the mouse/controller sensitivity.
Regarding where you are, you have to go into the childs room and walk up to the bear animal toy. After you are close enough to the bear, the rest of the events should trigger.
The idea was probably "oh the player will recognize the bear toy from the picture and walk upto it" but I don't think it turned out like that for many players.
An easy solution would have been to have a lamp pointing directly at the panda, and when the player gets close to the panda the lamp shuts itself off.
You're my hero.
I'll try to lower the resolution, hopefully it works better this way. My laptop gets a bit old, definitely need a new one. It gets really hot when I play the game, so I already put some books underneath that works a bit.
I went up to the girls room and there's nothing to do there. Can't interact with the panda. No drawing on or near the closet/doors. Only two drawings above the desk where the panda is. Looking at them does nothing. Going into the closets has no knocking, no option to knock on the wall.
Is this game kind of broken for a lot of players? It doesn't seem to follow the events listed in guides. Do I need to see what happens in this room or is it irrelevant to the rest of the game?
Sounds like you haven't finished Rackan's chapter. By design you have to complete a chapter before you can start another one. If you have finished Rakan's chapter fully the game tells you (with a message similar to the one you get when you start a chapter) that you have completed the current one so you could then start Lucy's chapter by collecting the panda drawing from Lucy's bedroom door which should now be there.
I youtube'd it just to be sure and yeah I didn't interact with the eyeball on the painting opposite the bedroom door with the giant eye on it. I kind of figured that might be a door that will open later, like in a Resident Evil game or something. Here I am running around the house wondering why I can't do anything with the stepladder, why Lucy's room won't interact, why there's no camera found in the basement. Etc lol. Mytstery solved. I hope this post might help someone else stuck like me.
Your welcome. Glad i could help :)
I'm finding Lucy's chapter terrifying, especially the part where your in the basement, finding all the light switches have been removed from the walls in the house, and placed in a box with some on the floor (pay close attention to the ones on the floor), leaving you to walk/run through the house in the dark with just a lighter and some candles, knowing that Lucy is around somewhere put me in panic mode lol
The house looks so lived in and detailed that it sucks you in.
I'll say Lucy's chapter was a close second in the game and I agree with McClancy that it's definitely dark and scary. I doubt I could play this in VR. It would be too freaky!
I got super freaked out by the camera in Lucy's chapter unintentionally. Sometimes if you're walking through doorways and the camera is caught by the edge of a door or hallway, it will get sucked behind you for a moment, then pop back in front of you. Well this happened once and I walked through a dark door in a mostly unlit room. The camera came sliding back into my view from the left, I thought it was some kind of new creature that just leaned around me and went pee-a-boo! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Biggest jump scare in the game for me and it was just a slight glitch lol.
But yeah, in VR I would poop myself :x
