Visage shuts down PC
When you meet the 2nd ghost, there is a big area with a lot of wardrobes. You jump down, then there is a room upside down with a big shadow. Since that part, my PC randomly just shuts down. Why? o.O

Specs: AMD fx8320, GTX1050ti, 8GB RAM, Kingston HyperX SSD.

What's your PSU? Games don't shut down your hardware.

That certainly can happen but it is exceptionally uncommon. Mostly likely it's either overheating or as you suggested the PSU isn't up to par.

It does. Never ever happened to me. I have an FSP Raider 550W.

I posted the same problem a couple weeks ago. I have an FX 8350 and a gtx 1060. All my games work fine, VR stuff etc. but Visage right now is very cpu intensive for some reason and my PC would randomly shut down while playing. I used a hardware monitor and it was driving my cpu temps up past 80 degress C. Everything else runs between 45-and 60. The devs commented on my post and said I wasn't the only one with this issue and they were looking into fixes but it could take a bit to narrow down and fix it. I ended up being able to drop a few settings back to medium and high and play through it without it crashing the PC. Sucks though, because I should be well in the requirements to run everything as high as possible.

So, my processor is overheating? Damn... I shouldn't play the game then, until thex fix? :(

Okay, I so I played for a while, it seems like only that part is bugged. I'm now back in the house, and my processor usage is normal (around 65-70 degrees, which is fine for an FX I guess).

So the processor intensive part of the EA is the part, where you cant save and can't use any light source, but only your camera.
If your CPU is running up to 90c then you have a cooling issue. Either remount your CPU or get a better cooler.

Latest developments...
Realized something was seriously wrong with my system. Had been progressively getting more BSODs, and then, when trying to run my VIRUS SCANNER in manual mode, it would stop every time. Bottom line is that it was either a VIRUS that had progressed, and hid the fact that my SCANNER was not doing it's job, or I had corrupt OS files. Either way, I was lucky enough to have a restore point that was previous to much of the trouble, although it was after the WINDOWS and VISAGE updates of January. In any case, after resetting the PC, and cleaning up the drivers, and running every diagnostic service I could find, I think I may have fixed the MEMORY ACCESS VIOLATIONS, and stabilized the system as well. Currently, I am not letting STEAM update the VISAGE file, as that was when the whole mess started. However, I am pretty sure the game didn't give me the virus, so I may be a bit paranoid. In any case, until the game blocks me from forward progress, I am gong to keep it from updating. For the moment, I think the matter is resolved, but it was a very rough fix, and I am going to be much more careful about backing up my system in future. Bugs are everywhere! I will advise any changes.
We won't be getting any more updates either so you're fine. The promised VR patch is unlikely to ever come.

For me, it just solved itself. Idk what happened. After that part everything was okay. I guess it was some kind of bug, or idk. :)
