Lighting issues
I have poor eyesight with bad depth perception and issues with lighting in real life, details in dark rooms are basically non existent for me regardless. The issue is lighting in lit rooms is sometimes poor enough that I have problems finding what I need, especially small objects.

Like keys, a lighter...etc etc.

So I don't know if its just me and maybe my eyes are just too bad to play this game but even with the gamma slider all the way up I can't see to navigate/find objects/etc in certain sections of the game. This had lead to a frustrating experience with lighting in which I either need it too bright to where I can't distinguish shadowed areas or it's so dark, well, it gets to a point to where I just have to wait for the U.I to tell me if something is there or not and it ends up being a huge hit to my sanity.

If it was from fear etc, etc, I'd understand this getting flak but I'm just having trouble finding objects or reading things with writing/information on them in rooms that even have nice lighting. I've consistently had to store objects, go back to the room with the TV and read in there.

It also doesn't help at all when it comes to any kind of chase moment because "Is this darkness or a wall? Lets find out."

What I've been able to get to in the game has been amazingly fun, this is actually a horror game I can play and I'd love to be able to play it as intended, but at the moment it just seems like some places are so dark I can't even search the area even with a light source.

I'm currently playing on basic high quality setting if that means anything. I understand that this is probably not the most common problem and if there isn't anything that can be done, well, thats it nothing can be done and I'll stumble around in the lighted darkness for extra credit (does that work?) but I just wanted to check if perhaps there was something in the settings I could do that could be done to fix this.

Hiya! I don't know much about game settings / PC settings etc to help out with this. But, I would like to recommend maybe joining the Visage Discord server and posting your feedback in there? I think it would be valuable to the devs (they are in the server and they do read the comments, even if they don't actually post much in there). And perhaps some other members there might have some suggestions for you, in terms of settings. :)

Here's the invite link: https://discord.gg/RVH6sFD
