Help!

I'm stuck at the moment. I've opened all of the doors and wandered around a lot collecting stuff. I can't get to the point where the camera appears on the floor that then allows you to move on in the game by using the flash to follow the girl. I must have missed doing something but god knows what. I've tried using walk throughs but they all seem different to the game I'm playing now, stuff is in different places or not there at all in comparison to my game,so no help from them. Its getting very frustrating just walking over the same ground all the time but not able to progress. Any ideas about what I might have missed?

Did you play chapter 2 (Dolores's chapter) first and are trying to play chapter 1 now? Or are you in the middle of chapter 2? Or are you trying to start off with chapter 1?

1. If you are in the middle of chapter 2 (that is, did you pick up the key that was hanging on the wall hook near the drawers with the radio in the foyer)? If so...you can't do Lucy's chapter at the same time. You'll either have to finish ch 2 or quit and start a new game and don't pick up that key.

2. If you finished chapter 2 and are wanting to continue chapter 1, you need to get the panda drawing on the daughter's room, and then go into her bedroom and stare at the panda. Once that happens, you'll have to knock on the wall in the closet 3 times, and then you go to the first floor tv room, and turn off the tv. The tv should turn back on when you got to walk away...once that happens, go to the basement and check the room where you hear breathing. Once you do...the camera should materialize.

3. If you are starting a new game, and playing ch 1 first (i.e. you did not pick up the ch 2 key on the wall hook in the foyer), if you've already done the knocking on the closet wall 3 times, then you have to go to the first floor tv room and turn the tv off. After it turns on (as you walk away), you should then be able to go to the basement and check the room where you hear breathing and the camera should then spawn.

Yes I restarted the game from the begining this week after having been away a few months, that's why I remembered the camera bit, but last time I didn't get much further in this game as I'd also purchased some other games that I really wanted to play.
So it looks like I'll have to restart the game and as you say leave the key on the hook in the hall this time. Can I ask will the key still be there in the hall for later or do other events happen that mean I don't need that key any longer. This is one confusing game but so far I'm loving it ( great to play with headphones in the dark ).

The panda drawing starts chapter 1. The key on the hook starts chapter 2. You can play them in whatever order you want, but you can't start one while in the middle of the other. I know it seems confusing. But basically...if you pick up the panda drawing, the key should disappear from the hallway until you finish chapter 1. Then the key will spawn back on the hook. If you pick up the key first, then the panda drawing will disappear until you finish chapter 2. Once you finish the chapter, the panda drawing will then spawn on to the door.

I need some help, I started Chapter 2 instead of 1 first and im stuck. im at the point where your in the room with the baby monitor and the big mirror with numbers on the wall. Before this point I found the hook to open up the attic and I went to the rocking chair. After clicking on it a loud noise appeared of course and I fell through into the room im at now. I listened to the tap and found the second slipper, I dont know what im suppose to do now after finding it.I dont know if i missed something before this point or i just dont have a clue what to do next. Help would nice if possible. Id hate to have restart again, this game is scary enough as it is. Haha.

After you picked up the slipper and placed it on the bed, the door should now be unlocked. Good luck! :)

Thanks! I tried that beforehand and I guess I didnt place it in the right spot. i got out of their and back near the bathroom, still stuck on what to do next.

There should be some blood on the floor at the top of the stairs. From there, you just follow the trail of blood.
