Clock puzzle is bugged - issue is with the candle section

Hi all,

So I entered the 4 hallway mirror section and did all of the puzzles as per the scrunched paper but I got to the candle part (it says light middle candle), did so....nothing happens. So I did other mirrors and got up to the third baby toy (sun, cloud, star) and completed each puzzle except one (3 way halls into darkness and empty clocks above). I came back to the stupid clock puzzle room and tried the candle again - got it up there but it says (it's useless now) and it's still doing nothing, even when I wait walk around....wth!?

Not sure what I'm missing here.

You don't need to lit any candles, just put one candle in the middle and it should work.

For the looping hallways into darkness you need the babyphone. You're probably still missing one or two mirrors, have you checked the altar room (I mean the original, not the distorted one)?

Yeah I have but I'll check the house again. I still have the compass and there's a empty park/cityscape I couldn't do anything with/in? Maybe those two things go together?

I thought you get the monitor phone from that clock puzzle room though?

Yep so I've done 4 of the toys (I used the compass for the park/cemetary) and the only mirror I cannot complete is the clock puzzle for the baby monitor and the hallways that lead into darkness with handsless clocks on top of each one. I'm pretty sure the clock puzzle room is bugged. I have no idea how to progress at this point.

I have the exact same problem. I have 4 toys and when I place the candle in the middle nothing happens. I already did the other three puzzles in the room and heard the music. But nothing happens when I place the candle. And I just cant continiou through the game

Unfortunately, this is a bug that I've seen someone else have on a stream. However, you can still progress without the monitor, technically.

If you go back to the parents bedroom, there should be a code written on the walls and papers in the one corner (where the tapes are). If you can make out the code, you'll have what you need for the 4 hallways of looping darkness puzzle.

Yeah I could make out the code from the very start but the clocks don't activate and show times until you have the monitor so it seems it's a hard game break there. It's alright, I restarted, speed ran the chapter and finished it. Was a bit sad that a previously tense playthrough felt like a breeze on replay though but oh well, got to see the ending finally.

Oof, since I didn't have the bug myself, I didn't realize the clock faces didn't trigger until you got the monitor. Sorry to hear that you had to start over. But glad you were able to finish the game.

Got same bug here. Doing the puzzle after completed all other puzzles, bugs the game. Can't proceed during Dolores Chapter

It happened to me as well. The candle in the candlestick in the puzzle room just dissapeared as soon as I touched it so I picked up another candle and put there. And lit then and I did the puzzle.

And here is the problem, ladies and those who run after them, this game isn't quite finished by development.

Yyyyep, just broke the whole game by accident, too. At the very beginning of the chapter, I lit the candle that was in there, just to see if I could guess the solution. Well the candle must have burnt out and despawned cause it's not in that room anymore. I can't find any candles anywhere except the basement now but you can't bring candles through the bathroom portal so my game is completely broken.

Put the candle in the inventory and when you come out of the portal it will be there. No problems.

In case anyone is still stuck on this part my brother and I found (hopefully) a solution:
Once you picked up the baby monitor go to the parents room and walk around (I think you will trigger this by the crib) and you will hear the grandma saying the code numbers, then go to the 4 hallway place and the hands should appear on the clock.

i restarted the game and still wont trigger the puzzle any ideas?
