First and foremost, thank you. Your support, feedback, and passion have been invaluable on this journey. When we first launched The Living Remain in Early Access, we had a vision of the game we wanted to create—but it was your input that helped shape it into what it is today.

Over the years, we've worked tirelessly to enhance the game, rolling out numerous updates, improvements, and bug fixes to refine the experience. And now, the time has finally come: The Living Remain will be leaving Early Access on March 27, 2025!

But we’re not stopping there. We have one final update planned for launch, bringing even more polish and improvements. And beyond that, we’re already working on another post-release update that will introduce new content—more details on that will come later.

At the same time, we’ve been hard at work on something else: bringing The Living Remain to Meta Quest 2 & 3. We wanted to make sure the standalone version captured everything that makes the game immersive and intense, and we’re thrilled to announce that it will launch on the same day—March 27, 2025!

This has been a long road, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or just joined the fight for survival, we truly appreciate you being part of this journey.

This month's enhancements include a few fixes and some enhancements. We are actively working on bringing the game out of Early Access! Stay tuned!

• Added two new zombie textures
  
• Fixed issue with serialization for auto grab
  
• Updated luminosity of all zombie textures making them more visible in dark areas
  
• Increased the lighting resolution for a few scenes
  
• Rebalance some of the audio

This release addresses some small issues and introduces some visual enhancements to the beginning of the game in several areas.

• Reworked the dirt lot area by adding in much more detailed textures and geometry
  
• Increased texture quality for various items and areas
  
• Added volumetric lighting to the starting warehouse
  
• Made hip holsters much more forgiving when placing or removing pistols
  
• Increased the dead zone for thumb sticks to prevent unintentional walking

Hey everyone! We have been working on some new things, but we had to drop an update to address some issue with players and the Quest 3 headset. This update fixes all movement issues.

This update addresses a variety of issues and contains some optimizations.

Bugs

• Fixed issue with Meta Quest 3 headsets not able to get past tutorial.
  
• Fixed issue with weapons sometimes not saving to inventory.
  
• Fixed issue with some doors getting stuck on player body.
  
• Fixed issue with some subtitles not showing correctly.
  
• Fixed some lighting issues in the dirt lot level.
  
• Fixed lighting issue in main factory.
  
• Fixed issue with hand disappearing if two handed weapon we held at foregrip.

Optimizations

• Performed an optimization pass in the main factory
  
• Reduced the memory footprint for a few levels

This is a patch to fix some bugs that have been discovered since the last release.

• Adjusted fly trails to allow it to always render correctly in different levels

We are happy to announce that subtitles and localization have been added to the latest update for The Living Remain, available now. To add on to the excitement, The Living Remain is now 35% off!

We wanted to make sure even more people can play the game so this new update contains language support for a number of languages and subtitles for all of them. Thanks so much for your support as we continue to enhance the game and add more content!

• Language Support for Spanish (Spain), French, German, Chinese (Simplified), Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Italian
  
• Subtitles for all supported languages
  
• Adjusted pistol grips so they are completely lined up with the controllers
  
• Game difficulty can now be chosen whenever you start the game from the main menu
  
• Updated shader for fly trails so they are more visible

• Fixed issue when stabbing ragdolls preventing correct alignment of knife
