I found more achievements not working. Just killed the Kathex, and even got the Kathex ring but the achievement "Kathex Defeated" did not trigger. Just lookinng at the Global Gameplay Status, only "Dathan the Bard" has 29.1% and the other are all at 0% Aldorlea, doesn't this make you suspicious that perhaps your achievements are not working at all? I finished the quest, confronted the cheater at Fallmont, got the 2 keys and open the chest with 3000+ gold. When I went back to the armorer and talked to him about "hand", the option says that I do not have time to do the quest, and paid him 3000 gold instead of returning the 3000 gold to him.
