How do i ride my Cobalt Rex?

I tamed a high level one but everytime i go near it i get "extreme radioactivity" basically. I dunno what gear i need equiped to use my cobalt rex..

The Magic Energy armor from the industrial skill tree, add some protection against radiation, you can unlock the first piece at lvl 81. To help get some more protection, put some points in fortitude.
