Yes Snail is a terrible at consumer ethics... but i also have to question the ethics of Steam and PlayStation as well.... The complaints are posted all over the internet and in these forums. This has been going on so long and its clearly ignored condoned. There are profits made by all of these companies. At what point can any companies be held liable??... many other industries are held accountable for low quality broken products and services.
In the age of social media the branding damage created from this type of publicity can be quite devastating. There are many discussions taking place on many forums on just this. One has to think its only a matter of time before the gaming industry is forced to clean up their ethics.
the game is considered early release still on pc, yet they decided it was far enough along to put out a console edition. and once they got the rights for their game back from telltale, they should be supporting the game instead of neglecting it. I know that even though I upgraded my pc last year, 7 days is very much a system requirement hog and I hate how it is so slow to load the game stuff, and owning a ps5, this would be handled a TON faster with the better processor, compared to the ps4.
I have a friend who doesn't have a pc powerful enough to play 7 days either, and even with my pc, being upgraded a little bit, I would rather play the console edition cuz it handles better. since my friend can't play 7 days on pc, she is seriously depressed by news of new features being put into 7 days on pc, and knowing it wont ever be put on console.
I do get the place where smaller indie developers are coming from, but I have seen tons of small devs putting out patches left and right on their games, on all the platforms it was released on. so lack of staff, money, etc. isn't a good excuse anymore, when other devs are managing to patch games consistently while others aren't.
