Mods could save this game

Any news on modding ? Modding could potentialy really save this game.

i enjoyed the game, when there were people playing it. before there used to be over 10k average player base. now its only around 400.

Game is fine and still playable, just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring with so little player base. and Modding would not only potentialy bring back many players, but significantly improve the game

It would solve one problem, and cause another.

So you've got your miracle mod, grass/water/unnerfed armour/usable tames/whatever it is people keep complaining about: That only works on unofficial (and local) servers, and only those that run that specific mod, of which you would need different install files for. You suddenly want to change servers? Have fun resetting to vanilla, getting new files, and then resuming your game. It would make some people happy, and they'd play on those servers, but it would do little for the overall state of the game, because that comes down to core mechanics not novelties.

you're just not tired of it yet. you will be. they need to allow modding soon before nobody plays it at all.

+1 we need mods to save this game.
I run a server and the players LOVE the mods in our three different ARK servers as well as in our Dark and Light, Arma 3, Space engineers. I have never heard any of my clan complain when we ADD to the game.

Please get on the tools for modding.

The game is an absolute failure by any measureable standard. How anybody could fail to see this is beyond me. But the fanboys will stick their heads in the sand and claim "but but but early access!"

It's too late. Snail Games has wasted their time in the limelight.

It's too late. Snail Games has wasted their time in the limelight.

Game still runs without issue or error, is playable, has enough to do and easily set self-goals/construction options once you get every droppable engram and/or complete your animal museum.

I'm not a fanboy (SG could do a lot of things better), but I am an anti-anti-fanboy. You want early access? Go look up the trainwrecks that were such games as Towns, Starforge, and Darkout. Get back to me after you get fresher insults than "fanboys."

Edit: Alternatively, stick your fingers back in your ears and resume crying "CASH GRAB", even after SG have released the dev kit which they didn't have to do.

Oh, they definitely had to make modding available and functional.

This game is based off of Ark, it holds to many of the same design philosophies as Ark.

Wanna know the only reason Ark has been successful... mods.

Sure, vanilla Ark/PixArk is functional and the devs may be happy with that functionality and balancing, because it fits their vision. Guess what, the majority of their playbase doesn't feel the same. WC embraced modding, admitting that they knew most players despised the vanilla game. PixArk can't be any different if they want to keep it afloat.

Two days later, there is still no MOD available.

I put one of my mods public already as of yesterday. The modding community is just getting started and there are some very excited people.
