Honestly, this game is nothing like ark if you aren't ignorant. The game has completely new and better aspects than Ark too. Lots of new features that make me like it better than Ark.

on the lighter side of the same argument, even if it wast, im having fun with it, to me thats all that really matters. Ark itself does some things better but this for me is better, at least once some tweaks and fixes are done.

It is 2 seperate companies but the developers helped out ark survival evolved in their struggle at times and gave them a boost, thats why ark survival evolved gave them permission with many ideas, there are many games! Like ark out there but seem to get not much attention. Pixark is one of the few that got brightly recognized on steam. Soon there is to be I believe a app called "ArkGO", kind of like pokemon go.

You might be wondering why Studio Wildcard has been helping with the development of Dark and Light or why Snail Games announced two ARK spin-offs, the Minecraft-like PixARK and ARK GO, in addition to the free-to-play Chinese release of ARK. Well, it turns out that SDE, Inc, an affiliate of Snail Games USA, which is a subsidiary of Snail Games, bought out Studio Wildcard; the merger was filed for on December 4th, 2015. Officially, the company was merged into "Snail Ark, Inc." Unfortunately, we don't know how much Snail Games paid for the company.

This revelation was made due to the fact that new court documents filed by Insight Venture Management, the parent company of Trendy Entertainment that was recently suing Studio Wildcard over a failure to uphold a non-compete clause, referenced the buyout.

So now you know why ARK is slowly being turned into a major franchise, courtesy of Snail Games. The Chinese game developer and publisher owns Studio Wildcard and, by extension, the ARK franchise. It will be interesting to see what they do with the franchise after this initial burst of games.

Its actually using every thing ark had, the engine, the animations are pretty much all the same bar the human walking and running ones, menu arm animation is the same. Taming mechanics are the same, engram system is the same. To say that its nothing like ark is stupid especially when its called pixARK its supposed to be like ark.
