Whats never going to happen is Steam giving Micro$oft access to, or control of, their system. And in that, there will never be a mod community that touches the console side of games. Sure, cross platforms could happen fairly easily. And Micro$haft would only have to accept game keys produced by steam to give steam sourced game owners access to the MS side to gain access on the console. But Im sure this would cost Steam, and therefore Snail, a fortune. So its not going to happen!
