You can do the same thing to stack foundations. I also used the trick to stack a ton of copper doors to cover up and defend my ceilings and floors, since there is no copper tier structure other than door (no idea why that is, seems like bad design, not that it matters since copper can just be broken in like 2 hits by any sword and so can every other building material)
Yep, I hate the big boxes. I keep a wall of the small chests for my main storage. I do keep a couple of the big ones around for things I store a lot of, and for a bulk dump when I first get back to base. But for storing more than 1 type of item, they suck. Only 2 lines to view, and you have to scroll through, when there is all that room in the UI they could just show all slots. And they aren't even space efficient.
Yep, you have to place the top chest first. If you decide you want to go 1 higher you have to demo and start over.
