that would be great , I just hope they didn't add a mechanic so you can't tame a trapped dino.

its prob because u cant tame it with arrows u might need darts

50 Arrows? I've sunk 80 arrows into a level 100 Argen - Soo Why would 50 arrows down a T-Rex? Make 400 Sleep arrows - Bring a friend and keep shooting it until it goes down.

Were you using a bow or a crossbow? Someone else reported on here that bows do more damage and torpor than a crossbow does. Not sure about guns and darts yet, but if you were using a crossbow, that might've been the problem.

It's not based on Level it's based on Torpidity - Torpidity is why you can quickly two shot a Pteranodon who only have about 200 and knock it out vs a T-Rex who has Thousands.
I think it also has something to do with if the dino is damaged. We spent 300 sleepy arrows on a 28 sarco today before we decided to test out its health. So i whacked it with a spear 5 times and it fell over unconscious.

some dinos cant be knocked unconcious with older tools. Like the dire wolf is immune to clubs (and slings i think) you might need a knockout item higher up the enegram list before you can knock it out.

This would be a fine explanation for the experienced game behaviour. Is that documented somewhere, or at least hinted about?

nope. not that i could find. but i boxed a direwolf in, 150+ slingshots didnt knock it out. seemed to be immune to all hits of the club( looked to bounce off) went back later with about 100 tranq arrows and it knocked it out in about 15 - 20 arrows.. The direwolf was L20.
WarChicken Mar 30, 2018 @ 5:07pm
Sounds good. Let me see, if I can verify that...
Paularius Mar 30, 2018 @ 5:49pm
There is a level limit on passive tames so it make sense there would be a level/gear limit on tranq tames. So that you cant just box the critter in and sling shot it out cold.
