Splitting stacks

I may just have missed it or something, but how can I split stacks of items. Like when I fuel my torches I dont want to put an entire stack of 100 in it. Tried shift clicking, right clicking, shift right click, ctrl click etc. Am I doing something wrong?

I would also like to know this. As it kinda suck to put all your wood in to a standing torch.

shift left click works for me. except I split it within my inventory, and then move it over.

I feel dumb. I tried shift+left click, before posting this, but I didn't try dragging it to a new spot. Yes it does work. Thanks PsyclopsTV

Shift+t splits and transfer

Shift splits in half, ctrl splits either 1 or gives an option to select the # when you drag.

Control and drag the stack then change the 1 to whatever stack size you want
