Exploding Sea Creatures?

Had this happen to me a couple times ( the first time on accident) and was curious if anybody else had been having this problem. I play on a public PVE server, thus far not many people have been trying to tame water critters.

Been taking them out to the deep sea biome and making sure there is nothing around them at all, nothing beneath them, the pixblock goes out, bounces, creatures come out fine, and then suddenly thrash a bit and die instantly in an explosion of pixely gore.

My only guess is that somehow with how water displacement works at the moment it's ah...literally the pixblock causing a bubble of air that's insta killing creatures, anybody else know what's going on?

a friend of mine tried to tame one of the hippo sea horse things and he said it suddenly expoded while taming. sounds like an old bug ark used to have a while back.

First creature I tamed was a hippocamp, I was so excited to go toss him into the sea and get to ride him around.....

Then boom confeti!

Glad I'm not the only one with this issue! I was asking on the server but everybody seemed to be thinking it was something I was doing but I was trying a thousand different ways to see what would happen, with the same result. Glad to hear I wasn't the only one having this issue.
