Durability needs to remain as is.....
I have seen a few posts asking that durability be placed on weapons, tools, and armor. This is not Minecraft or Ark, and I do not want to have to go through the tedious task of having to repair stuff all the time. For those of you who want durability, take all your items, throw them out and let them despawn. Now, go make yourself some new stuff..........do this evey few days and there is your durability equated from the materials you would use to repair stuff. Duribility in this game would be as absurd as making steel bone armor have the old value of iron armor; no wait, they did that.

If it were me, I would ask the Devs. for a setting to turn durability on/off. Dang, can't do that either because the settings at the start of the game are not functioning properly. So, back to thowing your stuff out to despawn, make some more, and stop being small minded.

I'de be perfectly fine with leaving durabilty off. More time playing the game, less time worrying about gear breaking.

No durability is to sort of compensate for finite mineral resources in zones. It works fine.

That actually make sense. Atleast untill infinite generation is (if) implemented

Technically, there are infinite resources, but they limit it via a world border. Probably because otherwise there'd be no way to do PVP and it would, much like minecraft cause lag with worlds larger than 10kX10k blocks... some minecraft worlds are as large as 100kX100k, and take weeks to pregenerate.

So, there's that.

I'm fine with infinite durability, but if they're going to have it that way, then it needs to be completely that way. As it stands, shields and gas masks have durability and can't even be repaired.

I'm fine with no durability, and am fine with durability. What I don't want is for durability to be added before we have something to compensate for the finite resources. I also don't want durability to be added if the armor in question is already severely gimped, like it is currently. It could be used to add balance later on, but as it is, I feel like it'd be a bad idea.

Just an aside, you may not agree with the opinion to add durability, but that doesn't mean the opinion is small minded. Otherwise, I agree with OP, for the most part.
