No water pipe splitter available?
Hi all, I have a small pond out back of my little surface outpost, which lies above my main base underground. I'd like to pipe water into both the surface outpost and also the underground base. But I can't figure out how to split the water feed.

In original ARK, I would do this with a pipe intersection piece, but I don't see that as an option on pixark. I've tried getting vertical or horizontal connections from a tap, but can seem to only get one outgoing pipe to function at a time.

If I'm missing something obvious, I'd love to know it.

Haha well, I guess I did ask for people to tell me the obvious, so I can't complain about your assumptions. :P

so for now a easy fix is you will have to use a Water Reservoir as its got 4 pipe conections from it

I tried to do that but couldn't get the pipes to snap to the reservoir. To be clear:

Intake places without problems.
Horizontal pipe connects to intake without problems.
Reservoir snaps into place on horizontal pipe without problems.
Subsequent horizontal pipe won't snap to reservoir's other ports.

Have you tested, or were you just going by the appearance like I did?

You can glitch the pipes to make a makeshift splitter

That would be wonderful, if true, but I think if it were you might have said /how/ to glitch the pipes to make a makeshift splitter.

Talking about using curves. So go out into third person with curve out and slowly back away from pipe you are trying to split. Or you can do it in first person but its a little tedious. Then use Q to spin the curve to the direction youi need to go. That simple.

I was asking not for proof, but for instructions.

Thank you Samurai_Amatsu for those lovely instructions. To clarify a little, I assume you're saying I can put a curved pipe overlapping a straight pipe and they will be allowed to coexist? So in the backing away slowly part I am thinking that I'm looking for the outline to turn blue, then left click to cement it in place, right?

thanks for the tip on how to place bends in pips. works great.

You can also place them inside world blocks or constructed ones. Have to have the blocks placed first.

If anyone is still looking for the answer and was googling around and came on this topic (like me). The answer is that you use a tap to split water flow. I tested it and it works

You dont need the taps to connect pipes to other directions, a curved pipe will do it. Just change view to 3º person, get a bit away from pipe and you will see. Sometimes you wll have do do some ginastic to put it right where you neeed XD.
But they could have added a intersection pipe, way easier to build.
