The Last Cargo - Patch Notes

* Patch 1.1 Notes [July 18, 2017]
Fixed:
  • Bugs in Adaptations: 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12
  • Correct saving of survival mode, permadeath and higher difficulty levels
General:
  • Slightly improved launcher and options
  • Decreased durability of Causative Entity
  • And other minor changes

* Patch 1.2 Notes (Halloween Patch) [October 26, 2017]
Changes and Fixes:
  • Reduced price of all adaptations [aka Perks]
  • Added 'access disks' for unlocking adaptations [acquired by accepting the consequences]
  • Changed 'pulse adaptation' for a completely new one
  • Changed 'acquisition adaptation'
  • Each eliminated explosive-destructive objects now has a 50% chance to drop a processor or a few tokens [tokens have to be collected manually]
  • Reduced walking speed of explosive-destructive objects when set on fire
  • Shooting with a shotgun ammo to 'causative entity' will stop him for a short while
  • Significant faster paralysing pulse charging
  • Improved wheelchair control
  • Removed bonus tokens [equal to number of minutes survived on level] after character died
  • Acquired tokens now are automatically saved 'as collected' [before, only after the successful completion of the level]
  • Added and changed some of the sounds
  • Some of descriptions and levels have been corrected
  • Removed 'gift machines' from the game
  • Fixed 'game summary' after credits
  • Time on 'final diagnosis' was reduced by 1 minute

* Patch 1.3 Notes (Big Halloween Update) [October 28, 2021]
1) CONTROLS:
* Added choice of movement type
* Realistic (tank controls) or Simplified (no more stucking on the environment)

2) GAMEPLAY:
* Changed and improved Tasks and Consequences system
* Added a completely new system of Variables

3) TUTORIAL:
* Added tutorial pop-ups messages (optional but highly recommended)
* Added Consequences and Variables pop-ups messages

4) DONOR LEVEL SYSTEM:
* Added a donor/player profile level and experience system
* Higher donor level gives access to special options

5) ADAPTATIONS (aka Perks):
* Added some new adaptations and the older ones have been revisited
* Unlocking adaptation is now connected to donor level system

6) FULLSCREEN:
* Improved windowed and fullscreen mode
* Fullscreen now works/scale better on high resolutions

And over 100 other changes and improvements, such as:
Changes in dialogues, descriptions, inventory, loot system, game endings, main menu, game launcher, added new graphics, new sounds, added best times for each floor, many bugs fixes, improvements in lighting, floors, weapon aiming, enemies, and much more.

* Patch 1.3.1 [December 25, 2021]

* Patch 1.3.2 [May 02, 2022]
General:
  • Added ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio support
  • Added dust particles effect on each floor
  • Added an effect of a "visible amount of HP loss" after receiving damage
  • Added a sound of HP loss during bleeding
  • Added sounds to large floor fans
  • Added additional hunger and thirst markers
  • Improved the display of ammunition counter (more readable)
  • And few other smaller changes and improvements

Balance Adjustments:
  • Reduced the number of tasks to complete relative to the difficulty level
  • Bleeding now causes 10 HP every 20 seconds (previously 5 HP every 6 s)
  • Upgrading perks (adaptations) to level 3 is now available from the beginning of the game (previously it was required to complete the game in "Permadeath" or on "The Last" difficulty mode)

* Patch 1.3.4 [June 23, 2022]
Major New Additions:
  • Toilets - Added the possibility to search toilets - mainly used for collecting dirty water but sometimes something more precious can be found in the dark depths of the toilets (luck adaptation perk increases chance for "something more").

  • Campfire - Added a 50% chance for a campfire to appear in a random location on the each floor (campfire works the same as the one created by the player).

  • Altar of Sacrifice - Added overall improvements to altar of sacrifice (new light and sounds) - also, after completing the "sacrifice task", altar can be used to gain a random amount of tokens (increases with wealth adaptation perk).

  • Hospital Bed - Added overall improvements to hospital bed (new light and sound) - and from now on, hospital bed can be used for general treatment - it can stop bleeding, cure poison and to heal small amount of HP (one-time use per floor).

General:
  • The "sacrifice task" has been revised - added new sounds and a special hint that shows where the sound of the lost sacrifice is coming from (but only when player is further away).
  • Added destruction of enemies when they get in the way of "causative entity" - instead of pushing them away.
  • Added new effects to elevator sequences.
  • Added sparks effect to campfire.
  • Added music to vending machine.
  • Improved some of the sounds.
  • And few other smaller changes and improvements.

Balance Adjustments:
  • Location spot of the "cargo management system" (that can be bought at the vending machine) now appear on the radar from a much further distance.
  • Enemies ("destructive objects") move a little faster (adjusted to difficulty levels).
  • Radar spotting range of enemies has been slightly reduced.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a bug with "causative entity" when in system recovery - taking any hit with shotgun shells during that time, caused him to suddenly walk again.
  • Fixed a bug with wrong window transparency of the campfire and vending machine when opening them too fast.
  • Fixed a bug where crashing one cockroach caused all others to die as well.
  • And few other smaller fixes.

* Patch 1.3.5 [October 18, 2022]
Major:
  • Mark Button - Added special red button to the radar that can mark your current location. It can only mark one point at a time, but has unlimited uses.

  • Resetting Sensors Task - Has been revisited. Added no "time limit" while resetting sensors and enemies ("destructive objects") does not explode after entering wrong number (but you still receive a small amount of damage). It has also been made easier so that the sequence of numbers increases with the progress of the task.

  • Carriers - Inactive and active carriers have new sounds, new animations of taking damage and their AI have been improved (and slightly less aggressive). Also from now on, active caries will always drop tokens upon death.

  • Steam Cloud - Finally added Steam Cloud support to The Last Cargo.

General:
  • Added effect of "pressing" buttons/items in the inventory.
  • Added new tutorial about radar and improved others.
  • Added new "pop-up information" (when there is no need to use certain items, etc.).
  • Added few new sounds and few others have been improved.
  • Enemies ("destructive objects") now can sometimes cancel self-destruct when the player is too far away from them.
  • Added reminder (new sound and effect) of the last minute until the deadly infection to fully develop.
  • Removed ability to use some of the items when there is no need for them (no more accidental use).
  • Using candle is now possible only when the previous one is starting to burn out.
  • And other smaller changes and improvements.

Balance Adjustments:
  • Candles burns with a slightly stronger light and burns for a little longer.
  • Time for deadly infection to fully develop increased by 1 minute - on all difficulty levels.
  • Using hospital bed (besides basic treatment) also delays the development of the deadly infection by 1 minute.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed overlapping sounds when using items in the inventory.
  • Fixed a bug with ability to moving fast with broken wheelchair.
  • Fixed a bug with picking up "raw fish" (causing the wrong slot to be highlighted in the loot window).
  • Fixed a bug with enemies ("destructive objects") that was sometimes stuck on walls and objects - or rather, they should stuck much less now.
  • Fixed a bug with the overcharged electric pulse "ready icon color" (after using it manually from the inventory).

* Patch 1.3.6 [December 16, 2022]
General:
  • Added effect of scattering enemies remains after they explode. Now you can interact with the remains of your enemies (just as Conan would have done).
  • Added new effect when receiving damage.
  • Improved effect of wheelchair electric pulse.
  • Slightly improved the arrangement of two of the floors (rest of the floors also will be revisited in the future updates).

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a bug (again) with ability to moving fast with broken wheelchair.
  • Fixed a bug with "weird" sound disturbance during "transmission nodes" task.
  • And other smaller fixes.
