I would pay extra as kind of a coop-DLC as well. I mean, if you do something else with your friends (or wife) it most of the time also costs money in the one or other way.
Considering that I played CQ2 and 3 with at least 4 different friends (and we had a blast doing so) would mean to be able to play 4 coop rounds on CQ1 as well, so any money invested would be paying off really quick for me.
To stick to the storyline it would be possible to just cast some kind of magic shadow clone/ghost of the Dragonblood that helps him on his quest, in a hotdrop in and out mechanism like in CQ3. Depends how much extra coding it would need to do so, but sounds doable without messing too much with the lore. And as a balancing effect the DPS dealt should be lowered by about 25-40% for both players to keep things in a fair range as long as a coop player is active.
No. It basically means rewriting the game, for both gameplay and balancing.
Arguably, people asking for their stupid "local coop" on basically every game, whether it's been designed as multiplayer or not, has become rather common. It's also something that never happens, because developers don't rewrite their games as updates.
If you want "local coop", get a game that has it. It will have been designed with that in mind too.
See "Sundered" videogame as one example, after years of the game was released for single player it was updated for 4 multiplayer coop.
Another example is "Don't Starve" which was "remade" as "don't Starve together", which this solition athough different than the previous case, still suits perfectly what is asked here by couch coop lovers.
Your discourse Kargor would be less fallacious and more logical by evading words like "stupid" which implies a very arguably personal opinion.
@Kelrycor, I like what you suggest about the shadow clone that would be neat and philological!
Riftbreaker - another game that was fully released as Single player game - now is getting a free coop update
dont waste breath on such idi@ts like Kargot - basicly they dont have any friends to play with so they burst into frustration when they see people asking for a possibility to have coop
