How can i get keys?

to the big chest i need to get a key but i dont know how can i get one!!!! someone can explain me pls? this is so fun!

You can get the Golden Key for all the chests not before you are halfway through the game. As soon as you get the water-walk ability search for a secret place far across the water where everything began.

I've searched EVERYWHERE for something new since I've gotten water walking and flying. Can you please be more specific with this location??? I've been wondering where to get keys for all of these big chests.
