Missing chest in Dragon's Rest

I'm pretty much done with my first playthrough, cleared all dungeons, got all equipment, killed Cathulhu etc.
The only thing missing is that there's still a chest icon above Dragon's Rest, the cave with the stone table (that did nothing for me so far, story-wise).
Is this something for NG+ only? Driving me crazy that I can't seem to find/complete this.

There should be a secret path somewhere in that cave then!

Thank you - I'm sure I checked the walls mutliple times, but sure enough, there it was.

Since you guys were no help (we knew there was a path, we just didnt know where), the secret path was at the bottom, straight left from the portal, right off the left side of the neck connecting the part where the portal is to the big ring
