I feel this game is crying-out for a fast travel system

Let me just preface this by saying that I'm loving the heck out of this game, so I'm not here to bash on the game by any means. Having said that though, I do feel there's a little too much back-and-forth questing in the game; especially when doing the East/West Pawt quest chain. Granted that later abilities like water walking and flying make getting around a little less tedious, but the former doesn't do much for your run speed, and the latter is so late in the game that a lot of players might have already done a lot of running around and questing before they get it.

What I'm thinking is that maybe the mage towers could provide teleportation to other towers; maybe based on which spells have been purchased as a means to track where the player can go. I figure the mage towers work because they're spread-out enough to give the player the ability to move to various locations, but still sparce enough that it won't trivialize travel time completely. Also, they're structures that already exist, so all they'd need is something in the middle of the room for the player to interact with.

I don't know how much content the devs are planning to add to the game, but since they just added a new quest chain, I figure I'd toss the idea out there for them to chew on if they do plan to keep working on the game.

Just wanna say I agree with you that the game could need some better way to travel across the map. When doing all the sidequests and dungeons there's a lot of backtracking.

I was thinking about fast travel some days ago while playing. I think your idea is great, Shiro. You've fleshed it very well imo. +1

Yes.. please a fast travel option! The amount of backtracking is so insane.. i most definitely don't want to bother with New Game+ and Mew Game without fast travel.
