Minor critique
I still tinker with this on and off but I feel like there is a need for some clarity in regard to the object transform pivot. And whatever these other types of pivots are.
It is really a terminology problem.
In some tools like maya you just have a regular pivot that you can move around that is the transform matrice center. Then has an object pivot but also a modeling type pivot that is temporary. They call it a temporary pivot override.
In modo, they call it an action center.
In XSI there was never any confusion about this alternate pivot.
In modo, there was confusion due to their obsession with stick with the layers/object system that made the world space of 0,0,0 the pivot point. (unless you moved the entire object)

I don't have a clue what is the object transform and what is a temporary transform. I keep having this same problem again and again with nvil. There is no clarity to this issue whatsoever.

And the usage of the words. "world" and "object".
I can't think of a time when I would ever use these tools. These are the type of options I don't think anyone would use and they are at the front of the application.
I don't think the structure of the manipulator tab is good. It breaks a lot of common conventions.

This problem is bad enough that I feel like I can't trust nvil for establishing the pivot point because everytime I have had to go back into this tool to figure out what is the actual transformation pivot of the object itself. I stop myself and just find another tool. I am certain nvil can do it. But I can't rummage through the tools anymore to figure it out again each time because you made it too complicated.

In xsi it was called "center".
In maya you could push the insert key or just hold the D key down and move the the pivot.

I know the pivot doesn't seem important for the object. But it actually is at times critical for when you have a script that automates the replacement of modeling objects with instances in a game engine. We need that pivot.
