Exporting for Foundry
I'm a complete newbie to the VTT scene. DPS2 is my first map-making foray and I've never used Foundry VTT before so I'm sure this is a basic thing I'm just unaware of...

How do I export my DPS2 map into Foundry VTT in such a way that roofs are understood to be a foreground layer? When I import my DPS2 JSON data into Foundry, that seems to process just fine. And when I select a background image in Foundry, the only image I have is a top-down JPG file that shows the roofs of my buildings. I'm assuming the JSON data contains information for what is the foreground and what is the background in the picture, but I can't understand how a JPG file is layered.

Do I have to do two image exports? One with and one without roofs so I can upload a background and a foreground into Foundry separately?

Personally, I'd import the map without roofs into foundry as the background image. Make the individual roofs into foundry tiles. Roofs as tiles will work better as you can have them show until a token passes under them.

^ This.

Also watch this video. It shows you how to setup a scene with indoor and outdoor lighting.
A heads up, Perfect vision has been updated since the video was made so you'll have to play around with it to get it work.
