Eraser tool?
Looking to just do a smidge of touch up. Is there a tool for this I'm overlooking? Something similar to ctrl + F?

Also is there a hex grid option?

I don't know about the first question you asked, but you can switch it over to hexes. Go to the 'Back & grid' tab on the right, and an option for hexes should be there.

If its a floor - the easiest way is to perform a subtraction. Have a look at the Subtraction crating a pool at:

Though admittingly this may not deliver what you need.

Sometimes my objects, when placed against a wall overlap. What I tend to do here is to make sure the wall object/layer is above the object layer:

root
+ wall
+ wall 1
+ wall 2
+ objects
+ room 1
+ object A
+ object B
+ room 2
+ object A
+ object B
+ floor
+ floor 1
+ blackground

Some times you can draw floors at a higher level to correct errors - though this can be a but tricky getting the area selected just right. Dont worry about the pattern matching up - as if by magic it will.

In the above example you could draw a small floor to mask out part of an object by using "floor 1" above "room 1/object B". Yet again this is a bit hit and miss.

The hex grid option is a bit poor for drawing maps - better suited to drawing overland maps with the "jolly roger's atlas" and taking off the "stick to grid option".
