DPS Not Working. Help ?!?
DPS is not working for me. It is the ONLY thing on Steam that hasn't worked.

The problem is NONE of the subscribed modules work. They show as downloaded and installed but when going over to the folder (which does show up) and clicking on it nothing loads in the tiles preview bar at the bottom of the screen.

Another thing: After subscribing to a few mods the folders show up in the bottom left window. These were NOT here when I installed the original program,.. as it should be. BUT, when I completely uninstalled the program, in hopes that I just got a bad first download and an uninstall/reinstall might fix it, and then reinstalled what I thought shuld have been a freash install, the folders for the previously subscribed mods were still there ?!? Prior to reinstalling I had gone through all the mods and unsubscibed, yet they were still there when reinstalling.

So,.. I asked Steam for a refund NOT becuse I wanted a refund but in the hope that a FULL deletion and refund would then allow me to repurchase and get a new, clean instal,... NOPE. When I installed for a third time, with all subscriptions off, and a full deletion, and a full refund the program STILL had the folders from the first mods I had subscribed to.

Can ANYONE explain what is going on with this or help me to get it working? I really would like to use this program and I am not interested in spending $200 on Campaign Cartographer.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Firstly, DPS is great and it does work though it does has the occasional quirk which is easy to work with. I use it for all of my maps for Fantasy Grounds.

(1) What I would do is to completely uninstall DPS

(2) Ensure the collections folder is deleted which is:

<your_steam_folder>\steamapps\common\Dungeon Painter Studio\data\collections

(3) I would then unsibscribe from all of the modules.

(4) Next I would then re-install DPS.

(5) Once installed I would make sure its working as expected.

(6) Subscribe to a single fairly simple timeset - I would suggest using Dungeon Tiles as I created that and know the contents.

(7) Download the mod in DPS - now this is the important thing - give it a while to download. I would suggest a good 5 mins.

(8) Once downloaded, restart DPS and see if the Dungeon Tiles option is available.

I would suggest never download multiple mods and always give plenty of time for the download to complete - after all some of these can several GB in size.

Hope this helps.....
