Steam Workshop files not downloading
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I'm subscribed to 3 of the mods on the Steam Workshop and they are not auto-downloading.

So, when an update is pushed, steam is not downloading the mod for you?

If you go to DPS and clicks mods, does it give you the option to download the mod?

I'm not really sure how the receiving end of the workshop works, but it's possible it accidently got bumped in one of the recent DPS updates?

I just tried subscribing to my pokemon mod and pushing an update. I don't know what the normal turn around time is for steam to trigger the download, but the download didn't come immediately. It did however come when I unsubscribed and then resubscribed. I also had to update the mod in the mods section of DPS.

Edit: Everything looks normal on my end, it's possible the auto-download not triggering is an issue on steam's end.

Thank you, I didn't realize you had to install the mod inside the client after already subscribing it.

Hey, I'm having this problem except when I'm subscribed to the mods they don't even download or show up in the MODS section of the program. Does anyone have a fix for this??

Mods are part of Steam infrastructure, so Steam client manages downloads (not DPS).
Was it open when you subscribed to that mod?
Here is all steps:

Open Steam client.
Go to the workshop, Browse> Tilesets.
Subscribe to the tileset you are interested in (it doesn't matter in client or on web page)
Steam Client starts download it, and you will see the progress at the bottom of Steam client.
After the mod is downloaded, select MODS in the upper menu and go to the Mod installer.
There you will see a list of downloaded tilesets.
Click Install, wait, and added tileset will appears at the end of the list of tilesets.

If you go to your Dungeon Painter Studio folder in your steam directory, then data -> collections, can you see a folder here for the mod you were trying to add?

If you go to your workshop folder in steamapps, then content, do you have a folder that is named 592260? If you do, do you have anything inside the folder named 592260?

There are no folders for the mods I was trying to add. There are folders inside 592260, but neither they nor their sub-folders seem to hold any contents??

Okay so this is definitely a problem with steam downloading the mods, so I would contact steam support. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the steam workshop process to help more than that. I can try though.

Do you have anything in your steamapps/workshop/downloads folder?

What folders do you have listed in your steamapps/workshop/contents/592260?

In the couple minutes it took to start forming a report the folders that previously had no contents suddenly hold their downloaded contents??? And now the mods are finally shown on DPS. Before this it was only one and it wouldn't even download properly. I /swear/ to god I'm not making this up.

I'm guessing something happened to make steam get confused with download progress, and then when you were playing around with stuff the downloads finally triggered.

I thought I had the same problem. I could see all the png files in the collections folder on disk but nothing was showing in DPS. Then I realized that which items are shown depends on the tool you have selected in the toolbar. I had "Grounds & Floors (Rectangle)" selected and the collection didn't have any floors so it looked empty. Then I clicked on the "Objects (The barrel icon)" and all the tokens appeared. It's an easy mistake to make...

Between Steam "workshops" and "MODS" and downloading and installing and the buggy program, I give up. Wasted far more than the cost of the software in terms of my own valuable time trying to sort this out. Going to go buy a real program and avoid Steam from now on.

I had the same problem, found that I only had 300 MB of free space on the drive I had installed Dungeon Painter on, I cleared up som space, and unsuscribed all mods, resuscribed them and it worked...Hope it helped

Yeah, I'm not getting subscription items to download or show up at all. Nothing in the folders asked about, no download notifications. I have all downloads for DPS set to automatic and/or allowed, but nothing. Just won't give me the extra stuff.
