quick question about placing items
is there a way to place objects that do not snap to a grid?

my issue, i want to place barrels so that they overlap eachother to create a pyramid of barrels (from a top down perspective). when i place that overlap eachother, they do not stay there and immediately snap in either the place next to the barrel, or directly ontop of the other barrel.

thanks

There is checkbox "Snap to grid" above layers pannel.

would be great if you could add a hotkey to allow you to place something while it is help.. so while holding something like alt it allows you to place the item anywhere and when you let go it goes back to alighn to grid

If I'm not mistaken, there is a hot key to toggle grid snap on and off. I don't know what it is off the top of my head though.
