Events aren't arbitrary. The events that you might be referring to are clashes and melees, in which certain combos or character are given 2x stats. Other than that it's just regular siege and rumble. The problem might more be that Steam is a bit of a forgotten platform for the game so info isn't flowing as much here.
I'm using the word events to refer to actions during a card battle. I play against AI. There are occasionally actions that have no grounding in any rules or attributes of the cards involved.
Got it. Could you give an example?
It could be a punch a metal protection a cheer that doesn't take effect or doesn't do or protect from any damage. Most recently an new example emerged in which a card whose turn it was to attack simply failed to altogether. I had placed in my line of cards and it was dim as it was not yet its turn, then when it was my line's turn again it went bright like the other attacking cards yet didn't attack. I look at the numbers and ancillary attacks or defences on the cards and on the heroes and cannot find any explanation. Aside from there being special rules I'm not aware of that you have to go into Kongregate or discord to find out about I can't see these occurrences as anything other than a bug or part of the AI program that uses extraordinary suspension of rules to readjust the human player's position at various junctures.
I think I have the same issue with Meg. Bender's arm will come take 3 attack from an enemy yet that attack will still retain 3 points while also giving it to Shut Up Meg.
