Vip is the most ''Profitable'' to buy! You get both 80 gems each day + your energy cap get raised to 25. Research speed isnt really worth buying unless you have mytic's/legenderies.

And you also gonna notice that things is extremly expensive for an example the boxes you get a special deal for 800 gems (8 euro) that gives you 3 random cards from the box and when you got that deal you get another one 10 draws for 3500 gems (35euro) which guarantess 3 legenderies, it's insane.

Iv'e been here since start and the amount of money iv'e had to waste just to stay ''competive'' is insane...

You know the card boxes? if you press it it says ''Special Deal'' in the left corner of the box, after you get that deal you unlock a second special deal (10 pulls for 3500 gems) the 10 pull deal gives a min 3 legenderies but normaly you get 4-5.

I went with the VIP for the gems , research and a gigittywatts since I do have a lot of time on my hands to be able to long in a few times a day to learn more combos,

I ended up spending most of those gems on increasing my card storage so I could spend like 300k coins for new cards.

Thanks for your replies, I ended up doing to the $20 anniversary and VIP, I dont really care for the legendaries in the current box so im going to save up until I have the 4000 gems mentioned above for the box pull thing.

Just so you know, epic and legenderies is pretty rare to get from the coin boxes, all good cards is sadly in the boxes, but with some luck you can get legenderies from the coin boxes but me for an example havent seen 1 in them for 2 months.

That sounds like a good plan, i highly reccomend you to join the official forums on kongrete, the people there respond fast and they are 99% nice compare to how steam community works.

Edit: https://cartoon-battle.cards/recipes?stan on that site you can see what combo you get when you research cards.

Do you have the research accelerator?

I started to play Animation Throwdown the first month it was released so i got it for free but i highly suggest you to get it, it's perm and it lowers the research timers enough to be worth it since you gonna have to research a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of cards haha.

Common Cards (Grey cards)
Normal Time: 2 hours
Accelerated Time: 15 minutes
Rare Cards (Green cards)
Normal Time: 6 hours
Accelerated Time: 2 hours
Epic Cards (Blue cards)
Normal Time: 24 hours
Accelerated Time: 6 hours
Legendary Cards (Purpole cards)
Normal Time: 48 hours
Accelerated Time: 24 hours

+ it lowers Mytic research times from 2 days to 1 day.

I'd say research accelerator is the most important thing. Don't think I'd have the patience to play this game without it.

If you're not planning on spending constantly I would argue research accelerator is not that important. After a while you'll get a solid enough deck you won't really need to research Epic and lower combos, and you won't get legendaries that often so the research times won't be that a huge deal. If you're in a hurry to put a card on your deck you can use your research time items from login bonuses.

I bought it and kind of regret it since I mostly play once a day. I'll enjoy 24hr vs 48hr, but to me, as a once per day player, everything is 24hrs.

Whislt I respect your opinion. I had some spare cash and don't regret most of the purchases I made. I personally am not interested in getting to the top, I just wanted a little nudge towards a better deck. I am enjoying the game so see no reason not to contribute. Each to thier own I suppose.
