I wouldn't say that there is no player base. I live in a smaller town of around 10,000 and the main player base for this game is around the same population. Sure, we have a slew of people who join for a few days and leave but if you play for a while and are into the Blue and Reddish cards, the game is a bit more fun.
...but the grind to get that high is long and I have spent close to 300 actual hours playing the game but it comes to the idea if you like the cartoons, then the game could be fun but if the cartoons suck, the game won't mean a thing to you and I wouldn't bother.
If it helps though, I have bought four other boxes combined with my wife and we haven't came close to the Mythic Bob card, outside of my first draw one.
Plus anyways, when we lose, and we do lose, to those rich a'holes who have the $1000+ dollar decks, don't you feel sad over them than to be upset and angry that you lost. Let them have the top spots, I am happy being within the top 500.
I just would rather go out with my kids or have a night home than to care about how great my "Drunk" deck is for the current theme. Screw them.
Just today I got a Legendary Tina. It isn't all bad, try buying in Bulk when you save up 100,000 in coins.
