This is true, However ppl with gold cards either are part of strong guilds and get the shards from wins or spent alot of money. I've spent over $125 on the game and have yet to get gold. I am close tho.
Here is the most recent I have seen. They also get posted quite often to a private Facebook Throwdown group. https://twitter.com/Sportakus2/status/917449207644114944
And if you didnt even "heard of one" - one must think you didnt even know the game and are just trolling!
Oh I completely agree. To even go further though, I thought an awful lot like you and when I pulled the Mythic Bob card, my reaction is a lot like yours on how I just got it and all.
To be completely blunt and honest, I would have much rather have played $20 for this game upfront as it is rather simple to make if they didn't pull this "F2P" crap that flat out doesn't work. For an extremely easy example....look at the Swole club and the clusterf_ck that was.
Lets be completely blunt with the "club". If you want to make it even fair, take out at least ONE of these options that they shoehorned right into it.
1. You train automatically and take out the wait times. You still need to pay for the training but you no longer have to wait.
2. Lower down the grossly overpowered 'enemy' cards toward the end of the challenge. How many of us couldn't go through the 50's set to get hammered to an extreme unfairlike and lose almost instantly when you were doing so well in the 40's even.
3. Take out the amount of levels you can play in a day. Don't just take out the timer...to tweak with it or mess with it to show that you are 'helping' the player, just remove the amount of levels or at least grossly increase the amount that you can play.
4. If you loose 4 times in a row, dumb down the level to let the player have an easier chance to go on.
5. Have the powerup not be cartoon based but have a specific 'character' focus on more health for all or more Punch while another character works on Disquise.
I have a few more ideas but any ONE of these implimented could have helped. Not all but maybe just one of them would have changed quite a bit. While I like my Bob card and I am absolutely sure they are giving it out due to the massive messup on the Swole Club Challenge
but it all could have been easily avoided if the "Animation Throwdown" game makers weren't so dmn greedy and want to continue to take "Blood from a Turnip" and all.
The game could have and could still be soooooo much better if they would just get this.
