i still play an few f2ps like this but over time you lose focus on them and return more to full fledged games usually, but games like this do well due to the various people who have short breaks or limited time, or just wanna play for few mins then switch to other games or do other things.
the energy method is an way to attempt to squeeze money from the ones who are impatient.
thats why there is an pay in gems to recharge on the meters x.x
which makes it so they make further profit.
this is were i usually just say once an day and done normally.
though the energy hits max quicker then most games, so its an choice return thru out the day or just once an day usually.
if you could pay one amount, then theyd lose there impatients cash flow, since theyd just opt for that v.s paying each time.
so for us itd be great and make the playtime flow faster, but then also wed finish sooner making it so wed not play as much anymore.
that and wed get all the goodies before everyone else making us super OP.
so as per usual pros and cons with every idea.
also funny thing, king of the hills one reason i started playing xD
my decks mainly full of koh chars which work pretty well when comboed up <3
As you level up by completing quests, you get a bigger adventure mode energy bar. You also get a free batch of Adventure & Arena energy when you gain a level, which amounts to a full free play session of each.
But between Arena, Advnture Mode, and Challenges, there's a lot of daily content before you hit any walls. You can do a full Adventure Mode run up to 16 times a day and a decent Arena run twice a day.
If you're playing enough to burn through all of that, you must be enjoying the game quite a bit :)
Okay, I did buy the item that goes for $9.99 that gives you a total set of 37 energy (If you at all like this game and value the amount of effort that went into it, buy at least something or you really don't have a right to complain.) that normally goes for $19.99, you can be able to play a F2P game for several total hours as my wife and I have.
Even at the higher level set that takes 4 g..damn energy to play, we still can play for at least an hour with all of the side events added on.
as thats just the bronze tier of the missions, so chance it could go upto 6-7 per or even further.
as for the amount of times you can play in adventure all goes by how active you are and what areas your doing, plus what tier they are.
since energy usage differs per each.
usually goes to the ones who recharge there meters.
though some games dont act in this manner, like one i use to keep topplace on.
though we can still power thru most of the stuff and overall in time make some decent to really good decks.
Yeah, AND you would need a deck of quad-fused blues and purples to even have a chance of winning at those levels, and you know those people didn't earn those.
It amazes me that games can make money depending on a few people to spend 100s or 1000s of dollars on them, but they do.
If it's a game like this that I actually enjoy, I'm just glad they didn't make it aggressively pay-to-play like so many mobile-style games are now.
But really though, and I am completely agreeing with you on this...but does it really matter worth a damn? Who cares if they beat the game a little faster than we do, I can still beat the game entirely with my far lower cards but at far less than what they 'pilfered' from 'mommy and daddy' or 'avoid life' to get?
To me, I will gladly be half way down the list with my awesome "Bob's Burgers, Futurama" deck and not care about being the 'elite' than to realise for a second that people are arguing over a CARD GAME....and one that is played online and almost NOBODY will know or give even the slightest care about you for being so 'elite' at it.
To me, life is just so much better and for the record, I have crafted "Peggy" and "Rifle" together to get one version of "Paddling Peggy" and even knowing I am almost certain it is a weaker version, my "Bob, Blurnsball" combo being "Greasy Skadootch" beats the utter hell out of "Paddling Peggy".
Also, if you combine Peggy with Blurnsball, you get "Pitcher Peggy" and her stats are even quite a bit lower than the Bob set.
For instance with Bob, you get 11/40 with 11 punch while with Peggy, you get a 11/36 with a far lower 8 Punches.
Personally, I still enjoy the game, so I just consider it a challenge to see how far into the "pay-to-win" decks I can make it.
But I'd still greatly prefer if the game had cost $9.99 up front and put us all on an even playing field.
Or if they added a mode where buying cards/reloads wasn't a factor, like Hearthstone has.
Basically, this game is fun, but if I want to play a competitive card game, it'll have to be something else.
Thank you, this is pretty much what I am thinking as well. This is just that though, a nice "Casual" game and nothing more. Sure is fun though and I don't regret spending $20 with $7 of that twenty coming from selling the massive stockpile of cards I have idled for to get as I don't really care about getting full sets for all of the games that I will most likely, never end up playing that I get out of bundlesites.
That sentence was a mouthful but you pretty much get what I mean.
You get far more points as you advance. For instance, I am getting 50 odd points at the end of each battle now.

Oh, I was wondering the same thing and I even went so far as to go to the "Arena" and refreshed it hoping that it would fix this problem. After going through it yesterday and again today, I noticed that it starts you off on "baby" and gets stronger and stronger as you pass the levels.
Today, I barely held my own toward the 17 total match, counting yesterdays 10 with this.
