Smart Junction "Both"
Hi,

I saw a video from the developer (~2018 or so) of a smart junction where there was an option for vehicle types to have no preference (I forget the wording). I assume that would mean those vehicles types follow basic junction logic of best available route.

However, in the actual game, I have to select either a Left exit or Right exit. I only want two vehicle types to go a specific direction, the others I want to follow basic logic as if it wasn't a smart junction - the best available.

Is this possible? If not, why was it changed?!

You can build a regular junction and make it go left and right, don't use the Smart Junction to build it.

No, that doesn't work.

I have two car models. Model B should ONLY go right because the advanced accessories are there. Model A needs to go BOTH right and left to fill capacity.

In that scenario, neither the regular junction nor smart junction works. Either I build a regular junction and model B sometimes goes LEFT (wrong direction) or I built a smart junction and model A ONLY goes either right or left, leading to a major backup.

Any answer to this? It has broken my factory and has made me rather unhappy with this game largely because I have seen videos where the developers UX had the option for vehicle types to treat it as a normal junction. I feel like a feature was taken away.

Try something like this..

X = Smart Junction (All Bs right, All As straight)
+ = Normal Junction (As will split both ways)

===> X => {A} => + ==> {A} | | | | {B} {A} | | |<=========< | V {A/B} | |
