Why does this *** have microtransactions?
The game isn't even officially released or even in a steam "early access" officially yet. And we can already buy cosmetics more expensive than say... TF2 cosmetics lol

Have microtransactions: YEEEY:steamthumbsup:
Have stable working game: NOOOOO HAHAHAH:steamthumbsdown:
This piece of ♥♥♥♥ dont working after update (6 March)
it's for showing support you moneyless imbecile, of course the game isn't functioning perfectly, it's early access, the PREVIEW has just been made available to the public in July, it's just demonstrating steam market functionality and multiplayer, what this game envisions to do is something beyond what Roblox can achieve but using the Steam Market as the economy just without people spamming T-shirts begging for currency, and a more fair play-fund, instead of Gmod copy-pasting a gamemode that's easily configurable in LUA and people just pumping it with micro-transactions to make a P2W server, until one of these crooks uses someones' payment information to dox them, dissolves the server and rebrands with the same exact model.

if people think Gmod is eternal and S&box will flop just have a internal bias they need to address, I've been very confident in Facepunch Studios to make some of the greatest games without having much to work with, they can change so much in a game, from Gmod using the "toolbox" to implementing steam workshop, from early Rust being almost a entirely different game, with zombie bears and stuff to one of the most addicting Survival PvP that let's you intensely customize and design bases, using MIDI instruments? it's there.

Gmod and Rust just shows how much experience and learning they've done, and with source 2 and more developed games within S&box (since devs can't just copy games, open a new server, paste code and personalize it, they have to just work on 1 product as a team instead of splitting talent amongst multiple servers), the potential is almost limitless.

Going straight to insults are we? Feeling mature today?

Well tell me this, How about he sets the game up for Early Access. Perhaps a patreon or something? Why exactly does he have to work on cosmetics and selling them for 2-3$ a pop for a game that arguably isn't a game yet.

Besides, GMOD and Rust has been top sellers for years. I don't think his new project requires any alpha financial support when his first game blew up and his second game also became viral, has its own steam market place, DLC and so on. You also mentioned he implemented it to show steam market functionality. Okay, but after he implemented it, I think we got the point across. But still he is adding more cosmetics to the cash shop as time goes on. Is it to remind us that it does indeed have steam market implementation?

But sure, just go straight to insults in the first sentence of your counter argument to micro transactions in a alpha build.

Hi, the reason why micro transactions are in this game is because money made on cosmetics goes toward community game makers, 30% goes to Valve, (?%) goes to Facepunch, and the rest gets distributed back into people who make content for the game. You can find more info about this here: https://sbox.game/news/the-play-fund-838fff99

...but aren't these current, pre-Early Access cosmetics made by Facepunch themselves, making it a moot point in this case?

Imagine Garry Newman, with a team of talented people, at a good development studio, resorting to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PATREON.

I'm sorry mate, but just listen to yourself, this ain't making sense, right?

Crowdfunding is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because look at Friday Night Funkin for example. The "devs" literally took all the money from their campaign (I contributed, sadly.) and did the bare ♥♥♥♥♥♥' minimum to actually get away with blatant theft.
