Well, shame on me - got the error:
received the game from humble yogscast bundle and did not realize it's a VR game. So running without a VR headset leads to this fault. Perhaps you can use my fault to implement an info-message to the user :)

Same issue here. There was no indication it required a VR headset at time of purchase. Just never tried to run it until yesterday. Also bought in the Humble Yogcast bundle

Is there any way of playing without a VR headset? I cant afford that but really want to try this
