this is an amazing game! i had it in my library for years because my boyfriend recommended it and finally got to play it on a random event out of boredom. if you love multiple choices games and reading you will love this! the style is amazing, great music, great plot and replay-worthy. i recommend doing all achievements to see all possible dialogue outcomes and exploring on your own a little. brandeis and donnovan are goals. 10/10 would recommend.

I am not really into games were you have to read a lot but this game has a really good story and amazing characters, its not super long which is actually nice because you can easy go through it again and make different choices. a unique game, really enjoyed it

It's an interesting Sci-Fi story in a somewhat unusual setting with a few twists and revelations along the way. While I didn't care much for the both, too simple and overly bothersome drink mixing mini game, the rest of the game made up for that, especially since it offers a variety of interactions like decisions making, pottery, investigation work and a bit of social engineering. The presentation is rather nice as well, great look and sound.

The concept is good, the style I can get behind. The mechanics feel so painfully rusty and outdated it's unreal. It's a good time killer but definitely not a game I'd play out of desire.

This game is not revoloutionary, the theme of ai and such has been though on for a long a time, but the way
this game does it is incredible, the game doesn't really give you answers only questions
And the emotional connection i felt with the characters after only few hours of gameplay is amazing.

amazing game 10/10

It speaks to the strength of a narrative, to leave such a memorable mark in such a short duration as The Red Strings club. Over and done with in little over three hours, this cyberpunk visual novel/bartending simulator drew me in with its art design, atmosphere, and rather notably its soundtrack. A moody synthetic hum falls over most every scene, pierced occasionally by a piano or saxophone - a rather direct parallel to the narrative of the game itself, in a way I don't encounter in most games. The narrative is somewhat cyberpunk standard - we follow rebels in an attempt to stop a corporation from taking complete control over the masses in a technologically advanced near-future setting. On first glance, I expected The Red Strings Club to offer a unique perspective on its narrative, in the same way VA-11 Hall-A does - using the cyberpunk setting as a backdrop to a far more personal, emotionally driven narrative. However, The Red Strings Club surprised me by instead offering a unique twist on the concept of cyberpunk instead, with a fairly generic - though extremely well-executed - plotline that sets emotions at the core of the narrative by pitting characters against the possibility of a lasting, if artificial happiness for all of society. With multiple routes to play through and consequences for the player's actions, The Red Strings Club manages to provide interesting character and concept work without overstaying its welcome, but while still remaining replayable, and though this may simply be my affinity for cyberpunk as a genre speaking, I think the game is deserving of an 8/10.
