Was it so difficult to say no? Was it so difficult to accept new information about this future that you have no idea about, since you've only been to two buildings at that point?
You guys are too funny.
"bait"
riiiiight... the devs were trolling... they werent legit dumb enough to believe it..
also, the world has almost all high corporate jobs done notably by females, youd need to be kinda ignrant to the story to think they're oppressed in this universe.
Also they left that third option in for a reason... so yeah..
It's a bait, the dev said it on Twitter, but not because he doesn't believe women are opressed, but because he knew you guys were just like that even on fictional worlds.
Also, you really believe that just because there are women with good jobs they aren't opressed as a group in any way, do you? Besides, I remind you that we get to know like 10 people of this fictional world. If a character says that some women are still opressed and you refuse to believe it, I just have to laugh.
Proof the dev put it on twitter?
A fictional character claiming anything doesn't mean anything if we don't see it in action. The devs very clearly intended to break the narrative to mock people who weren't leftist feminists.
In this fictional world we know like 10 people. Maybe these 10 people have high status. Maybe they had luck. Maybe there are still places and situations where oppression still exists. It may be even better than the present! Which doesn't mean sexism is entirely erased.
A fictional character like Akara may know something, if you played the game you'll know what I'm talking about lol
Here you go: https://twitter.com/jordidepaco/status/983980681155043328
He's basically saying what I told you so I guess it'll be useless but hey. It's worth a try
OK, so we get that. At least we can agree the only places where women are oppressed is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ backwards countries; but if we're dealing with a futuristic universe where, let's say they still exist, it's unlikely they'd come into permanant or large scale contact with these corporation manufacturing fake organs, thus making it unlikely that she was talking much about this situation.
Now granted about that argument "small sample size."
OK, what if she said "Should magic be allowed?"
There's an awkward situation isn't it? Because she's saying it like it's true, and we have yet to actually meet a magical character (I will concede that one smuggler MAY have had some magical ♥♥♥♥ going on... i guess argue under the assumption that the sample size is parallel to the discussion, we have seen no example of it, on the contrary it seems completely out of the culture, we see the opposite everywhere, yet we are expected to simply accept it.)
I guess I should ask, would you be condescendingly mocking everyone for being flabbergasted that Akara, who should obviously know most of the world, asks you to allow magic? Would you be saying "sure you didn't see it, but how laughable that you'd be bewildered the devs made a fictional universe with magic!" "Devs baited and trolled you lmao!"
Now regarding that tweet, the dev later apologized for it because he saw that he mischaracterized people.
I think it's clear he wasn't ridiculing people for zealot like politics, I think he was ridiculing for different politics. It's extremely clear that post was placed up as a real world reference. Strictly speaking it should have been an obvious case of allegory.
You guys took the bait. You won't believe women are opressed, nor nowadays, nor in a fictional world you didn't create, ever. I lack the power to change wrong beliefs.
Anyway let's continue with our lives
If you're not willing to engage because my point proved you wrong, I understand. Misframing an argument and ignoring important points are all part of zealotry handbook.
Best of luck with finding other ways to stroke that ego of yours.
You didn't prove me wrong, you tired me lmao
Tú flipas.
