XGTV8 motor blew up!
I installed a Magura XGTV8 motor and an Euroa 1 supercharger midsize on a Wanja. All parts were close to 100% condition. I hit the time trial, slammed the accelerator and shifted to 2nd gear and then the motor exploded! My valuable XGTV8 is now broken (8%). Any idea what I did wrong?

Did you put oil in your motor? I have blown a couple engines because I didn’t fill the rad but you can actually drive a little while before that happens. I just loaded an old save and removed the oil filter so my oil would drain out and started to drive and my engine popped almost instantly. I think you might not have had any oil in your engine. From what you explained that is very similar to how fast my engine popped driving with no oil. I used a Euroa II XGTV8 and it was still at 40% after it popped but it was over $10,000 to fix it.

Did you fill the radiator?

yeah, sounds like forgotten cooling water, the nr1 engine killer on my playthrough!

I didn't check. ^_^ I better check that from now. Thanks!

Actually I think it's not the coolant. It ran fine with the SV6 motor before and after. I never changed the radiator when changing the motor. My radiator has a cooling effect 5 and the cooling fan has a cooling factor 1.3. Any idea what else could cause the motor to blow up?

Ah yes. It was a new motor and I never checked the oil after changing it. I'll check both oil and coolant from now on. Thanks!

Those are some low values for a large engine.. I believe you have to refill the coolant when you change out the engine... I know you have to add oil when you repopulate an engine of it's parts [ Specially the oil filter, etc] Oh and i think you can fire up the engine without a drive belt and that means no cooling system... so that's about all I can think of (along with the other posts before me)

if you remove a radiator, motor, water pump, you will lose your coolant. Oil is also an issue, if you change engine / oil filters.
Motor can only blow up if it gets too hot, which could be caused by inefficient cooling, rather it is missing coolant or bad/ missing oil or broken/missing cooling system like radiator, fan... stronger motor will need more too cooling factors, so that could also be an issue.
When it happens very quickly, like within few sec, it is most likely missing coolant/oil. When it gets blow-up only when you are pushing it on high rpm, especially without moving (so no air flows through your radiator), then it is most likely wrong cooling system (some parts are broken or inefficient)
