I just launched update v1.4. The highlight is that I fixed the seemingly random conversation freeze bug. There's also 2 other dialogue overlap fixes.

My main concern about this update is that I had to update my Unity version to do it. Everything should still be working and I was able to play through the game in its entirety, but there are a lot of nuances that could have been affected by the update. Hopefully there aren't any, but I want to keep a close eye on the forums in case anyone notices something I didn't.

As usual, thank you so much to anyone who reports bugs. It really helps out.

I'll be watching the forums closely today, so just let me know.

Hi, come across a big game breaking bug, when i complete jeromes quest line and he gives me the key mold it crashes, freezes up and eventually closes itself and when i re open the game i've not got the item, same when i get to the end of cindys an she says i can keep the flower, i have a hunch it'll happen whenever i get any other key items but havn't tried the rest :/ i'm on a macbook if that helps at all?

When I tried to load up the game today, I got this message:

Failed to initialize Direct3D.
Make sure you have at least DirectX 9.0c installed, have drivers for your
graphics card and have not disabled 3D acceleration
in display settings.
InitializeEngineGraphics failed

I've never gotten this message before when trying to load this game on my current computer, which is the only device I've ever played the game on, so I have no idea what has actually been causing this problem.

I'm happy to say that this problem is no longer occuring. I think it stopped happening after I updated my graphics driver.

I can't actually play Kindergarten. The game sounds work, and the task bar shows the game is running. However, no screen for the game ever pops up.
This isn't a problem with Kindergarten 2, so Idk what is going on.
Has this happened to anyone else, and how do you fix this issue?

Edit: Well, with help from closing Steam, going to the game folder in my Steam files, and using the task manager (Bring to Front & then Maximize), I HAVE A SCREEN! However, its a black screen, and nothing can be seen. I think its progress, but idk for sure. Help!

Hi, I have a problem. I can't start game, and see this (in narrow window) (look at attachment). Open game on full screen just show me middle line from game.
I have PC with 2 monitors (2k resolution) with 2 accounts. May be problems with this.

Can you fix this?

I think if you disobey Cindy in front of the Kindergarten and she yells "rape!", then in the lunch time, it is not possible to give Cindy the biscuit from Janitor. It just loops infinitely with Cindy saying "It will so fun to see Lily with that gum in her hair during recess", and the Janitor saying "Did she eat it?" with you replying "Not yet."

I have come across one problem multiple times. When the game gives me an option to select something (like when you talk to people) sometimes the game just won't accept my selections. I can still select different options (if there are any) and open the menu. But I can't choose them. Neither spacebar nor mouse work. I can only select options but not actually click them. That is only true for the given options though. I'm completly able to open the menu with escape and choose to restart the room (the only way I have found to free myself from that softlock). Afterwards everything works as intended again.
This problem is really rare but also annoying when it happens.

Found what I think is a glitch...? If you're in the bathroom during morning time, and you use up your last apple, instead of being kicked to the cafeteria, the lunch period is skipped altogether and you're at recess

Not sure if this is a fault on my end, but the game crashes immediately on launch. The 'oops, your game crashed, there's a error report next to your game executable. Send the stuff to the developer, it might help.'

I've had the game for a while and it's never actually worked, which kinda seems like a problem. I can send you images of the error report, but I'm not sure how much help that would be.

If this is an error that's already been resolved, I'd love to hear the solution. I enjoyed kindergarten 2 and wouldn't mind playing the first one as well.

Just wanna say that I haven't tampered with any game files, and the game broke from the instant I downloaded it. I've verified the game files through steam. I'm not sure what else to do.

Just let me know if you want the screenshots or the error report.

When i open the game the Special items don't appear i only can see the silhouettes of the Phone and the Pass. idk why because the Game used to run Perfectly fine before this update

ESC isn't working anymore. I tried to change the controls because consuming apples wasn't working. Somehow, I can no longer open the menu but I can consume apples...I don't know what's going on

Edit: I found the solution for anyone who has the same issue. You need to open the registry editor app on windows and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/SmashGames. Then you need to delete the entire 'Kindergarten' key. That should fix the problem.

When I go on the game most of the left and right sides of the screen are black and I can't fix it, do you have any ideas on how to fix it.

You just need to go to options, click the video/screen button and turn windowed off.

For some reason, I can't even launch the game, but when launching Kindergarten 2, I have no problems at all from launching it. Any ideas?
