Apparently, part two has already been announced to be localized according to research. I was just wondering if anyone knew if they announced when part two is going to be released.
Sure there's script errors but they're not really that commonplace. I find the current 30% sale price to be more than fair for the amount of content you're still getting, regardless of the fact you only get the first half of each route.
I'm under the impression this game is a remake/remaster of an older Hakuoki game, maybe, and that's why it has a lot of additional content compared to the original? Or is this version of Kyoto Winds specifically that we got on steam different compared to a game by the same name that initially came out on a different system?
Is there a medium where I could buy this game, with all this extra content, that also has the second half? I looked on the PS3 store and found Kyoto Winds, but without knowing better I can only assume it's EXACTLY the same as what I've already bought on steam - only part one. I've heard something aboout a PS4 release that has both parts, but has that been brought over to America or is it still just in Japan?
(Though it's been quite a while since I've played one of the olders ones so someone feel free to correct me if I missed something)
It's essentially mostly the same game as previous releases. The primary difference is that this release has six additional routes, for a total of 12. All previous versions of the game only have six routes. This release has three routes for already existing characters, and three routes for brand new characters. There are additional brand new characters added as well, so even while the original routes are still essentially more of the same players have experienced in previous versions of the game, there are still new scenes with new characters in the original routes.
Routes in Hakuoki are quite lengthy, so even while the game is technically split in half, the additional routes mean you're still sinking quite a bit of time into completing the game. I've got about 40 hours (inflated number though because I've left the game up while cooking and stuff) in with 5 routes done, and I'm seeing a lot of people with 20-30 hours with 3-5 done. So you're likely not going to be finishing the game in under 30 hours or anything even with half the content. The only downside is that if you were looking for actual romance-related bits of the routes, those aren't going to come until the second half.
