I wish they would give it another shot. It was very rough around the edges, and could've been much better if they refine it a bit.
For example, if they reversed the timing. Instead of hitting action and then wait for it to happen, make the action and then it requires charge time to perform the action (like FF12)
Also instead of using action chips for aggro control skills, make it core part of the gameplay strategies.
It's not like Level 5 is doing much of anything these days. I wish they get bit more stubborn with their game, and keep pushing it like what Monster Hunter series did.
Continuing the story is probably not a good idea either. New game, new story, same gameplay, but refined gameplay with each iteration.
It seems like Level-5 doesn't have much going for these days. I hope they get stubborn with their own IP and really dedicate to growing it. I think White Knights Chronicles had the most potential of becoming something. I do think if they kept going, and was stubborn enough to stick with it, by now they might've seen some success with White Knight Chronicles 5 or something.
