I run an AMD 5700 XT with updated drivers.
I have tried a multitude of in game settings (including borderless, no HDR, unlimited FPS [30 FPS] and various resolutions. I've tried manipulating the steam controller settings as well as clearing my PC cache, verifying the local game files and running the .exe as administrator with 'high' priority.
I generally concluded that in game settings were not pertinent to the crashing. I actually had the most consistency by running everything at max. Go figure. I fumbled with the game settings in steam as well as the AMD software. No help.
In a move of desperation, I tried the floating modified .exe from that gem of a dude, NanoHDR. Still crashes..
Any insights?
Sounds like the game wants to autosave after the fight and something happens. Maybe this is corrupted, save the file and delete it and see what happens.
Or deactivate the Cloud save additionaly. If I had issues in a game with crashes this was fixing it most of the time.
It is now fixed with no more crashes.
Thanks guys.
Because it didn't happen to me after 60 hours of play, I'm in the last two DLCs, and it happens to me every hour
That being said, skirmishes still crash without fail. Every skirmish will crash at some point (either right at the beginning or near the end). **I keep trying..., it keeps failing
Aside from this significant problem, not a single crash during a boss fight or in the other areas of the game.
I did a full clean reinstall.
- Uninstall
- Clear all files / folders related to that game
- Reboot
- Reinstall...
Tested and working great for the last 30 hours of gameplay.
Is there a way to turn off ALL cloud storage, regardless of the game played? Like, completely sever cloud from Steam? Any further suggestions?
**the people with this problem are here because we have checked the games file integrity and reinstalled multiple times. We are looking for the next step.
