in what order to play

I have both games.
But with what I should start first?
If they plot connected, first, then second. ​If not, I prefer play second game first

There is no direct connection between the two games. The events of the first game are known in the second game as a sort of legend/fairy tale but thats about it.
Start with whatever part you want.

they are different games (in story and gameplay!) the first one is similar to pokemon games where you catch monsters and gain experience, the combat is more like a RTS AND the best story of both games.

The second one is more like a hack and slash type, the story is not as good as the first one but graphics are a little better.

If you are worried about the story and connections, they are not related.

I recommend you to play the first one first, one of the best stories in videogames out there!

yeah that's why I ask.
I like first game gameplay more.
And want know if they connected.
Since not, I will start with second game, and then first. Because I dont want have unpleaser aftertaste about this series.
