Other games with similar kingdom management?
Hey there!
Played a bunch of this game and hoping you guys might be able to help me find something similar in terms of how the kingdom management works. My girlfriend and I really like it when games handle kingdoms kind of like this, where you can upgrade things and all that without having to worry too much about stuff like logistics like NNK2 or most Assassin's Creed games. Problem is that I either don't know the right tags to search with or they just don't exist. Anyone have any suggestions on that front?

maybe pathfinder kingmaker might fit your bill. It is however a pretty hardcore Crpg but you can just turn down the difficulty. Thats what i did.

From what I played :

Skies of Arcadia Legends on Gamecube have a city/island you can upgrade. I know it's an older game but it's one of the best J-RPG still in most top 10 of any older rpg lovers.

Baten Kaitos Origins : Also a Gamecube game, you can't really upgrade the town as much but it's still pretty to look at and see it grow, plus it's made out of clay. Also, the combat system in Origins is far more action based compared to the first game (which you don't have to play first since the second game is a prequel).

and as TheRealRws said, pathfinder kingmaker

Thats a rare subgenre and apart from whats already mentioned there is really nothing.

Just curious, why you search games using tags?? You use them to search on Steam.
I think you have 10000% more chances to find something on Google using normal questions instead of using tags on steam search, like ppls do this for real??

You might try Overlord 1 + 2, but they're ARPGs with focus on action and "city"-building (actually your fortress) is often tied to progress in the game.

I'm not sure if it's kingdom management per se but you might want to look into the Dark Cloud games, which are also by level-5 (for PS2 and maybe for PS3-5 using online store options and things like that).

Fable 3. Not as much of an end game as there could have been, but you end up ruling a kingdom, make moral decisions as king that dramatically alter the game world, have a castle, and get to adventure through your lands. It is only available (on PC) through Amazon, and you'll need to tweak a few things to get it running, since it is a 2010 game. Fable 3 would have been the "ultimate" game if they had finished it properly. But as with most things Molyneux, it was rushed at the end of development.

Skies of Arcadia legends is actually one of the worst JRPG's I have ever played. By far. but good luck finding a copy of it for the gamecube. its pretty rare.

Just because a game is stuck on a last generation console doesn't mean it doesn't exist anymore. Who hurt you honey? Do you wanna talk about it, im here for you!

No, it is pretty well accepted that it was generally a good game. I've not played it, but I've definitely heard of it and most of the internet agrees on that point. At any rate, this thread was never for this purpose, so please drop the subject. I was hoping for kingdom building-style games like NNK2, not an argument on whether a relatively old game was good. lol

I havent seen that one, oddly enough but seems interesting, and also if you wanna a kingdom management game kind of, but cities to defend with hack n slash platform combat encounters theres the old Act raiser thats part of a series, i think it has a remake on steam, you could take a look at it. People are liking that alot of remakes being made of old games, so theyre not forgotten in the slightest lol.

heres the actraiser game link
